My favorite piece of technology

Technology is very important and necessary today, in my life (I use the technology every day) and in everybody’s life, for example; communication (msn), information (documents), entertainment (music, plays) , etc!
My favourite piece of technology is my net book (Q.E.P.D….yesterday my net book died, because was attacked for a Trojan and worm (virus)).
My life change…I feel more incomunicated because with my net book I can see the news in u-cursos, the power point class and I can speak with my friends by messenger and facebook or blog!
The computer is very useful for the life. The information, the pictures, the music, programs, class, mails can be save in the computer…and if you don’t have a back, the information will be lost!
Other important element for me is Internet, because with internet I can search information about my career and homework’s.
I don’t like depend of my computer, because when I was a children, the computer was not essential for me, I was free!
I feel hopeful, because my best friend checks my netbook and said me: The netbook will survive! But not the information!
This week, I will use the computer in the university, because in my life, is impossible not check the mail and information in u-cursos…the teachers use internet for all!
For other opportunity, I will save the information in a pendrive…this is my lection.

I will be Midwife !!

Well, sincerely, at first my option was odontology, and my second choice was obstetrics.
I came to Santiago to study, and at first it was hard being alone in a strange city, but I was hopeful with this carrer and had the support me of my parents and friends, that they said me: “you'll be my midwife and assisting the birth of all my children”
... with the days I got used to the people and the environment ... and university life..hard life…big books and study every day!!
Last year, I was informed while studying and while I was in clinical practice…and I startet to love obstetrics! The neonatology and public health.
What motivated me to continue was the practice in the health center and see the problems of women about their sexuality (contraception, infections, family planning, etc) very interesting and disturbing for me.
In the society, the midwife plays a very important role, because they care for women in their most vulnerable period and often are friends and psychologists… not only helps the birth.
Today, I can not imagine doing anything else. This race makes me very happy and feel that the country needs us the midwives, we must change the form of birth!

NOT TO UNNECESSARY CESAREAN!
YES HUMANIZED BIRTH (the mother to choose how you want your delivery…)
YES TO THE INTEGRATION OF CULTURES AT BIRTH!! (mapuche, etc)

It's a career so close to people, so human and beautiful! impossible not to enjoy yourself!
Being a midwife is to be present in the happiest moments of a family, and I do all my life!

This is my favorite link because is very interesting, the website explain differetent topics about obstetrics, with simple words (dedicated for mothers,students and midwifes).

Mi matrona.com have many section; contraceptives, fertilization,multiple pregnancy, abortion, maternal education, books, genetics illnes, works, sexuality, folic acid, and others. This website give important information at the parents, in special about sicological and anatomical changes in the pregnancy woman.

The picture in this link is ok! very nice and real!
I visited aproximatly twice a week, when is nesessary. I upgrade me in topics like: watherbirt,breastfeeding, OMS recomendation, etc.

I like mi matrona.com, because is a very serious website, with support and aport to me in my professional growth. The different topics are very interesting and updated. The website can guide at the mother in this special process.
